But it’s up to you to use your courage, confidence and love to make the most out of your life. If you decide to seek help and don’t use the help then what’s the point? Whatever advice you receive, analyze it, tailor it to your life and use it.

If you don’t deposit love, good vibes and confidence in to your life you’ll get nothing back in return. Inner beauty is what makes life worth living. When your inner beauty is in tact life becomes more balanced.

Here are a few reminders to help you get the most out of your beauty to enhance your life.

1. Strength: If you feel lost, find the strength to get help.

2. Courage: Find the courage to make the necessary changes after you seek help.

3. Wisdom: Have the wisdom to remove things from your life that don’t serve you well. If withdrawals are made without deposits, you’ll feel depleted and lost.

4. Inspiration: Find something or someone who inspires you. Take that inspiration to help you reach higher.

5. Motivation: Don’t depend on others to motivate you. Get up and do something for you. Make a plan, set a goal and celebrate your achievement.

6. Dream: Don’t ever stop dreaming. Always remember that dreams are meant to come true. If you set your life up for success your dreams will come true.

7. Self-love: It all starts with you. If you don’t love yourself it will be hard to love others. Make time to invest in you. If you don’t invest in you, no one else will.

5 Tips to Help Balance Life

Beauty is balance

Life has a funny way of teaching us lessons. A few years ago I learned that there’s more to life than work. Work gave me some satisfaction of achievement but my life felt incomplete.

My life was not balanced. Love and happiness was on the back burner and sadness started to take over.

One day I challenged myself to do something for me. Because if I didn’t find balance, I would be miserable and unable to be the woman I am today.

Here are a few things that helped me find balance.

1. Treat yourself: I incorporated something I call Renee day. This is where I dedicate one day of the week to do all things Renee loves. Do a half day if you can’t do a whole day.

2. Relax, relate & release: I pray and meditate every morning. I read bible verses and affirmations from apps on my phone. This allows me to set the tone for the day.

3. Exercise: This is a work in progress for me. But in the summer I would go for a 30 minute walk 2 – 3 times a week. This allowed me to reflect on life or sometimes just think about nothing and enjoy my music with some alone time.

4. Find a hobby: During my walks I started to take pictures and now I have a new found love for photography. You won’t know if you actually like something until you try it.

5. Go on a date: Take yourself on date and enjoy your own company. Or you can invite friends or your significant other to catch up on some great conversation and quality time.

Remember, you are the only one who can balance your life. You know how the saying goes; “all work and no play…” So what are you waiting on? Go play and balance your life. What do you have to lose? Nothing…but you have so much more to gain! Have a wonderful week! MUAH

5 Ways to be a Philanthropist

When you think about philanthropy do you think to yourself…impossible?! I’m not rich so I can’t be a philanthropist.

I used to think the same way. But, what I failed to realize is philanthropy is charity, contribution, a helping hand or a donation. You don’t have to be rich to be a philanthropist. There are many ways you can give back to others not just during the holidays but also throughout the entire year.

Here are a few tips to get you started!


  1. Brighten someone’s day! Smile, say hello to a stranger and compliment them. You never know what people are going through. A smile with a sweet hello can go a long way.


  1. Give back to a charity. Donate time and or money. Giving back doesn’t always have to be in the form of money; your time is service and service counts too!


  1. Support the homeless. Offer a meal, clothing or toiletries. It’s cold outside in many parts of the world, you may not be able to keep them safe but you can help keep them warm.


  1. Pay it forward. Instead of accepting gifts from friends and family this year encourage them to donate to a family in need.


  1. Be of service. Serve your family and friends in unconventional ways. Give them a day of rest and you take on their work. Help them find peace; pray with and for them.


Beauty is philanthropy and you don’t have to be rich to be a philanthropist. Spread a little beauty through random acts of kindness. I promise your heart will be filled joy and you’ll brighten someone’s day! Remember, every little bit helps! Have a wonderful week! MUAH

7 Tips to Live Life Outside of Your Comfort Zone

Fear and anxiety will kill all dreams and any possibility for success. They hold you back, make you lazy and allow you to live a life of complacency. Your dreams become stagnant; any possibility for growth and development seem difficult or impossible.

The best way to overcome fear and anxiety is with ambition and action. Here are a reminders of what to do when your stuck inside your comfort zone.

1. Fear is just a four letter word. Don’t let it intimidate you or force you to stand still.
2. When you feel anxious, take time to meditate and breathe deeply. Calm your nerves. Relax, relate and release.
3. When you feel fear or anxiety rear their ugly heads…take action. Don’t let them control you; you take control.
4. Get advice and seek help. Get a career or life coach. Allow them to help you streamline your ideas. They will help you figure out the issues, regroup and push forward.
5. Surround yourself with like minded people who will keep you on track. (Birds of a feather flock together)
6. Take a break. Sometimes we just need to do something that makes us happy to get back on track.
7. Invest in you. Mentally, physically, emotionally & spiritually. If you don’t, no one else will. Your investment will keep you on track to take action and live an ambitious life.

Don’t allow yourself to live a mediocre life. Step outside of your comfort zone and get a little uncomfortable. Action and ambition will take you very far in life but if you allow fear and anxiety to control you, you’ll always stand still.

7 Tips For Happiness & Success

Sometimes we put limitations on ourselves because we’re afraid of what may come. We’re afraid to fail, we’re scared of change or we’re nervous about success. When you set limitations in life you limit the possibilities of achieving your goals and you stunt your growth.

Take note that limitations are not always a barrier that we create. Sometimes liabilities show up in their place. Liabilities are people who don’t serve you well, don’t believe in you or hold you back because of jealousy or hate. Liabilities are toxic; don’t be afraid to remove them from your life or love them from a distance.

Life is about balance and you’ll lose self-control if you hold on to limitations and liabilities. The key to success and happiness is as follows:

  1. Start your day off right with prayer and or meditation
  2. Take inventory. Ask yourself what or who is holding you back
  3. Make a plan and set small attainable goals to remove limitations and liabilities
  4. Re-evaluate and remove anything in your life that does not serve you well
  5. Take action and follow through (a plan without a goal is just a wish)
  6. Celebrate your success with small rewards
  7. Take control and own your happiness. Success will follow

Repeat steps 1 – 7 anytime you get stuck in a rut. Life was created to bring you joy. Don’t allow anyone or anything hold you back. Self-empower to self-improve! Have a wonderful week! MUAH

My mom always says, “If at first you don’t succeed…try, try again.” And you better believe, I have failed many times but I never gave up.


I don’t see failures as failures. I look at failures as ways to improve and do better. I believe that if you take the fear out of failure, you’ll have a better chance of succeeding.


The next time you fail at something, remember the following tips.

  1. It’s okay to fail
  2. No one is perfect
  3. When you do fail (because we all do) fail fearlessly!
  4. Take notes on the things you can improve on
  5. Don’t give up
  6. Try; try again (but in a bigger and better way)
  7. Believe you can and you will

Rules of the No Judgement Zone

#ImBeautyInspired QuoteHave you ever been smitten by someone’s outer beauty? By the clothes they wear? By the designer shoes or handbags? Or their smile? Have you ever judged someone by what you see and not who they are?

Have you ever been mean to someone because they look messy or dirty? Have you passed them by? Did you refuse to speak to them or acknowledge them because of how looked?

I think we’re all guilty of this. It’s easy to think someone is a certain kind of way just because they look good. Or someone is certain kind of way because they look bad. Remember that looks can be deceiving. What you see on the outside is not what you always get in the inside?

The visual of a person’s outer beauty can be alluring but the persona of the of their inner beauty could be awful. Or, the style of their outer beauty can be in a disarray but their disposition could be charming.

Never judge a book by its cover because the story may captivate your heart and your mind. Be nice to everyone regardless of what you see because they may be a diamond in the rough that needs a little polish.

Here are 4 tips to prevent judging someone by what you see.

  1. Smile and say hello
  2. Start a small conversation
  3. Offer to help someone regardless of looks
  4. Find a way to give them a compliment

Beauty is Love!

This poem is dedicated to anyone who has witnessed, been victimized and/or survived Domestic Violence!

Love to the Limit

Here is an excerpt from Chapter 1: The Beauty of Strength!

Beauty is being naturally you; baring it all without filters!

Today, I am being naturally me and baring it all without filters! I am sharing a side of me that I don’t share that often because I hope to bring awareness to my readers and I believe that beauty starts from the inside out.

As a child, I watched my father abuse my mother, as a teen I was abused physically by a high school boyfriend and verbally as an adult. Today, I realize that I am beautiful and love is not abusive!

I wrote a poem from the heart in the late 90’s as a dedication to my younger self and any woman who has experienced domestic violence.

This is not just a poem from what I have seen, heard or experienced, it is a poem for anyone who has been affected by domestic violence or someone who is in denial. I pray and hope that this helps someone to seek shelter and help. 

Domestic Violence is a disease. Please understand that love does not hurt. Love is not abusive – verbally, mentally, physically or emotionally. Love is patient and kind. Love is happiness and joy. Love is you!
